IIIRR Mini Conference on Physics, Mechanics and Impact of Tsunamis

This event was held at the University Calgary on October 21, 2005 and co-sponsored by the Schulich School of Engineering and the IIIRR. This was organized along with the Engineering Associates breakfast of the Schulich School of Engineering. At this two-part special event a discussion on the Physics, Mechanics and Impact of Tsunamis was held during the breakfast followed later by a half-day mini-conference with a panel of experts speaking on a variety of tsunami-related topics. These specialists will explore subjects ranging from the earthquake, warning systems, and response, to the environmental impact and rebuilding efforts. The panel included:
